1. Introduction
FEES AND REFUND POLICY – MAKTABZA
1.1. The prompt payment of fees is integral to the survival of the institute.
1.2 Fees are always due on or before the start of each term and are Non-refundable.
1.3 Term dates are published online in advance for all interested parties to view and note.
2 Aims and Objectives
2.1 The aim of this policy is to ensure a robust, non-discriminatory, and fair approach to
the method by which we deal with parents who have not paid their child’s fees
on time.
2.2 The objective of this policy is to ensure there is consistency in terms of approach and methodology. It is imperative that a standard process exists and that all involved are aware of this.
3 Payment of fees
3.1 Fees for each term are due and payable as cleared funds before the commencement of the term to which they relate.
3.2 An agreement by the institute to accept payment of fees by instalments is concessionary and will be subject to separate written agreement(s) between the parents and the institute.
4 Refund or waiver of fees
4.1 Save where there is a legal liability under a court order or under the provisions of this policy to make a refund, fees will not be refunded or waived if:
(a) the pupil is absent through illness; or
(b) a term is shortened or a vacation extended; or
(c) The pupil is released home before the normal end of the school day; or (d) For any other reasonable reason.
4.2 In exceptional circumstances, refunds may be granted in the sole discretion of the institute’s management.
5 Anti-money laundering:
5.1 From time to time, the institute may need to obtain satisfactory evidence such as sight of a passport of the identity of a person who is paying fees.
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at {email address}.
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at {email address} and send your item to: {physical address}.
